MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short non-coding RNAs that inhibit target gene expression by suppressing mRNA translation and/or promoting mRNA decay. It is now recognized that miRNAs are directly involved in cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis. Twentyeight-Seven is developing small molecules that can modulate levels of miRNAs by targeting proteins that interact with these miRNAs.
