Shari Annes Marketing Consultant
Shari Annes joined MPM in 2002 to lead the partnership’s communications and marketing efforts and to work with portfolio companies on PR and IR strategies appropriate to their stage of development. Ms. Annes has been involved in healthcare since the early 70’s when she began her career as an intern in the White House and at the Senate Commerce Committee. She has lobbied for major corporations, worked for national PR and IR agencies, and consulted independently. In full-time roles, she served as Vice President for Corporate Communications at Robertson Stephens, Chiron, and AXYS Pharmaceuticals (now Celera). As an independent counselor, her clients have included COR Therapeutics (now Millennium), Onyx Pharmaceuticals, KOSAN, Renovis and Dynavax as well as several publicly traded European companies. She has studied at Columbia University and Harvard University and holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
